2. Principles

We process personal data only where necessary to provide a functioning website together with our content and services, or where you have given consent. This website uses no analytics tools, no tracking and no advertising cookies.

3. Hosting and server log files

When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically stores information transmitted by your browser in so-called server log files:

• the page requested, plus date and time of access
• volume of data transferred and confirmation of successful retrieval
• browser type and version, operating system used
• referrer URL and truncated IP address

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless operation and the security of the website. The data is deleted after seven days at the latest, unless a security incident requires longer retention.

4. Contact

If you contact us by email or via the contact form, we process the details you provide (in particular name, company, email address, telephone number, the details on topic, environment, company size and number of locations, and the content of your message) solely in order to handle your enquiry.

The contact form is processed by our hosting provider's form service. The details you submit are transmitted to that provider's servers, stored there and made available to us for handling the enquiry. The provider acts as a processor for us under Art. 28 GDPR and does not use the data for its own purposes. The data is not used for advertising and not passed on to third parties for that purpose.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods apply.

5. Training and participant data

In connection with training courses, instruction and inspections we process participant data (name, date of birth, company, record of attendance) to the extent necessary to perform the contract and to meet statutory record-keeping obligations. The legal bases are Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR. Records are retained for the duration of the applicable statutory retention and evidence periods.

6. Recipients

Your data is passed on only where necessary to perform the contract, where you have consented, or where a legal obligation exists, for example to statutory accident insurers when billing first aider training. No transfer to third countries outside the EU takes place.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), as well as the right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).

Right to object: where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Thuringian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Häßlerstraße 8, 99096 Erfurt, Germany.

8. Encryption

This website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the string “https://” in your browser's address bar.

9. Currency of this notice

This privacy notice is updated whenever the processing changes, for example when a booking system is introduced.
